In the world of data storage DVDs, or Digital Versatile Discs or Digital Video Discs, hold a very important place. They are used for both video and data storage. The DVD has the same dimensions of a CD or compact disc its storage capacity is much higher than that of a CD. It can store up to six times more data than a CD can. This is the reason why DVDs are more popular today.
Just like CD writers one can find DVD writer also. A DVD writer is a DVD drive that records or writes DVD. Actually it burns movies or data to a blank DVD and in some cases it can also overwrite existing data on a previously filled up DVD. While a DVD-Rom only reads the discs, a DVD writer provides us with lots of benefits. With the help of DVD writers one can make one’s own movie videodiscs. A DVD writer can help in reducing cost. Let us get into an example to understand this. Instead of hiring any outside production company one can use this writer to distribute any kind of corporate video. This task can be done in an easy and very much cheaper way.
